LESSON 2 – Update Your LinkedIn Profile

You have already heard us say that your profile is the foundation to utilizing LinkedIn for lead generation. Well this is where the rubber meets the road! As we have mentioned before, it doesn’t matter if you already have your profile built out or not, because this tool will walk you through an accelerated process to get your profile solely-focused on speaking to your target audience.

You will be incorporating your work from yesterday into this lesson. As you will see in our template, knowing the traits of your ideal audience is the single most important factor in helping you to be able to build out the various sections of your profile. So dive in and get to work! First, start with Videos #1, #2, and #3 by Halle (covering Positioning and Benefits Marketing).  Then continue on to the Profile Accelerator. As you go through the Accelerator, if you find yourself having difficulty crafting your Headline and/or Summary, stop and go back to Day 1, because really understanding your perfect customer will be the key to your profile.

After you’ve completed the Profile Accelerator, it’s time to update your LinkedIn Profile. In videos #4 & #5, Matt shows you how to do that using the LinkedIn User Interface.

Don’t get stuck trying to make things perfect! Take massive action, then post a link to your profile in the Support Forums for feedback.
