  I am essentially new to Linkedin. What is the best way for me to start to learn how to add connections and to learn how to reach out to the connections?

  When you are in LinkedIn – do you see ‘network’ in the header bar of the page? If you click there, you can start seeing your connections and click ‘connect’. Add as many people as you can!
