One of my pet peeves is that instructional videos are not changes when the topic website changes. So is the case with uploading an Informercial to LI.
I spent over an hour trying to find where to do so on LI, but to no avail.
Please help.
With thanks,
Joseph M

March 8, 2019 at 11:17 am #33597Yes I have watched this video, several times. However, the LI page it references does not match what LI is currently showing. This is the problem why I cannot put my video into LI. Compare the two and you’ll see the issue I have.FYI, I’ve uploaded the video to Youtube and also have it on my Mac desk topThanks,

Hi @joseph-mihalak, okay I’m glad you have the file on your computer and on YouTube.
Here are your next steps:
- go to LinkedIn.com
- click on ‘me’ and ‘view profile’
- click on the pen icon to make changes to your profile
- once the box pops up, scroll to the very bottom where you will see ‘upload’ and ‘link’ choose upload if you have the actual video file or upload the link of your YouTube video
- once you do that and it’s uploaded, click save
If you’re still having trouble with this, please come to my technical call on Monday and I can walk you through this on a Zoom call!

Better instructions (ie there is no view description as you say)
- From the home page, click on “me”
- Click on the pen icon to the right
- scroll to bottom of page
- I suggest you choose link as opposed to upload (which didn’t work for me)
- (before you get here, copy your YouTube video address)
- click on link
- paste the address in the box provided
- wait until the video has completed its upload (see the progress bar at top)
- Choose apply
- Choose save
