April 25, 2018 at 10:08 pm #9380Guys I have, with the tremendous support of my assistant managed to start to connect with a lot of people, so that part is working. The challenge I’m finding is that I have had very little response as far as getting people on the phone. I’ve therefore decided to revise the questions by putting in Halle’s suggested question as my fourth question, “If I could show you a way to grow your practice, without spending any extra time or money, is that something you would be interested in?” Thoughts?
- [Name], What’s your core business?
- Are you a member a member of NZICA/Australian CPA’s?
- Who is your target market?
- If I could show you a way to grow your practice, without spending any extra time or money, is that something you would be interested in?
- phone ~ it appears we might be a fit to work together, what are a couple of good times we could have a quick conversation/speak briefly?

Hi @david-turner! Much better improvement, below I’ve restructured it a little bit so there’s a lot more engaging and less “give me your information”.
- Great to connect, [Name]! What’s your core business?
- Perfect! Are you a member a member of NZICA/Australian CPA’s?
- Got it! If I could show you a way to grow your practice, without spending any extra time and or money, is that something you would be interested in?
- Fantastic! What are a few time windows that you have available tomorrow to chat?
- 2pm works! What’s your mobile?

Negeen, you may be aware as an auditor specialist I target colleagues who are the equivalent of your ‘CPA’s’ in the States. If I were to include the following question, how effective do you think it would be?
- Tell me, is your practice important to you?

Hi @david-turner! Totally understand but you see, the questions need to be very simple and not a question that will make them uncomfortable. You can ask the tough questions on the phone. This is just opening up a dialogue to get them on the phone to THEN see if they qualify to work with you.
The idea is to treat it as a quick convo 😉
Your question is very loaded. Consider that
