        Kent,

        I have had my LI account more than 10 years and have looked at it very rarely over that time. When I began the program I was surprised to see I had over 400 connections. As I now get ready to message these contacts (lesson 4 LI connection engagement) I see that I know many of them and what their core business is.  I  just listened to bonus audio 1 of you and Travis. In this audio I notice that you do tweak what you say with the people as answers come to you. How would I tweak question 1 for these folks?

          Hey @jim-opperman! We’ve had many folks in the program tweak the “core business” question to the following options:

          Great to be connected [NAME]! What’s your core focus for the rest of 2022?

          Great to be connected [NAME]! What’s your core focus for 2022?

          Great to be connected [NAME]! What’s your core focus in your business?

              Hi @jim-opperman, remember that these are meant to build rapport. Use these tried and true Realtor questions below (you can tweak Q1 if you’re more comfortable with that). The lesson dives deeper on the benefits of these questions and why the idea is to build rapport rather than qualify early on.

              Q1: Great to connect ‘NAME’… what’s your core business?

              Q2: Perfect! Do you live in [YOUR MARKET]?

              Q3: Fantastic. How many years have you lived here?

              That’s great! Let’s chat for a few minutes. I have a fairly big network that may benefit you.

              Q4: What are a few time windows that you have tomorrow?

              2pm works perfect

              Q5: What’s your mobile?

              Great. I’ll call you at 2pm.

              [INSERT YOUR NAME HERE]
