Industries on LinkedIn

Do we have to use the industry designations on LinkedIn?

None of they seem to fit Executive Coaching, Business Coaching or even Coaching.

When I do the targeted industries in my LinkedIn profile can I write in the above three items.

I presume that if people are looking for any of the 3 when they search on LinkedIn they will more likely find me.

Please advice.

Yes you can search that but you can also search the people that would be needing those services. Look back

at your perfect client and that should be really helpful.

Help me understand this.

Is the industry for people searching for me?

Or is it for me searching for industries?

For lack of a better term I am agnostic about wanting to serve an individual from a specific industry.

My services serve all industries.

Hi @john-trakselis-2-2! You are using the search feature to hone in on connections in specific industries.

Something Kent and Halle really recommend is for you to focus on one industry at a time if you’re finding you are in a broad industry search.

This will really help get your message across the most.
