Hi Halle – I’ve watched the hero story video but i’m still completely stuck. I genuinely don’t think I have a story! I’ve racked my brains trying to think of ANYTHING that is remotely interesting/relevant and I just draw a blank. Any suggestions to try and break through this?
Thanks,
Ian.

@ian-walton, the video specifically addresses this! please go back and listen again with new ears. Be OPEN to the answers showing up, because they are there! I ask: what are 3 qualities you have that you want your clients to know about you? What are some lessons that you have learned in your life that you want to share? Remember the example of the woman on the video? She didn’t think ANYTHING in her life was important, but it was! Start from the LESSONS, not the EVENTS, to get ideas – ask others (family members, your spouse, your parents if they are still living, etc) for more help. What are your places of GROWTH in your life? That’s what people want to know that will make them feel connected to you. Please watch that video again, knowing that you CAN have a breakthrough around this! Then re-post or come to the Tuesday call to discuss. You’ve got this!!

Hi Halle,
Yes, I’ll listen to it again and speak to some of my family as you suggest. I’ve had a couple of incidents in my life that could form the basis of an interesting story but I don’t know how to relate them to my journey. Specifically, I can’t see how to link them to where I am now and how I help my clients. They were just ‘interesting’ incidents.
I’ll re-post or come on the call if I’m still stuck in a few days.
Thanks,
Ian.

@ian-walton, quit looking for “interesting incidents” – sometimes it’s just one sentence or one small action that changed your life. Ask the questions above, but not based on “How can I fascinate my reader” – instead, just dig deep and ASK without attachment to the answer. That will help!
Blue skies!

@halle-eavelyn @anthony-simonie @negeen-dargahi – hi guys! I’m a bit stuck. I’m almost thru the hero story questions. however, I have found that I am jumping all over the place! What exactly happens once I submit it? do I need to try to make it coherent as possible before I submit it?
Thanks!!!
Laura

Hi @laura-barker, once you submit, you will show it to peers, family and friends for feedback (as the video in the hero story module states as your next steps), and then if you’re happy with your story, you post as an article.
But yes, ideally, it is nice and cleaned up prior to next steps.

@halle-eavelyn @negeen-dargahi good morning! I FINALLY submitted my hero story! I got the email back and it is SO LONG! And, I had not really written in prose in response to the questions so I know that once I have fleshed it out and cleaned it up, it will be that much longer! I guess it would have really been better if I had tried to actually write it out as a story within the accelerator!
Once I have it cleaned it up, I know I send it to my top 5 but can I send it to you two for review as well?
Thanks!
Laura

As a realtor I am not sure my hero story or what has happened to me would be helpful in obtaining clients. I have moved around, grew up in CA lived in Chicago and Iowa but the main thing that happened in my life that puts me where I am today is I had to escape from an abusive (now) ex husband. I had to plan my exit about 8 months in advance-I walked out with essentially nothing to make sure I got the child custody I wanted. People in Grand Rapids Michigan don’t want to hear about that, the are all head in the sand…I’m not from this area I moved here when I was married to my ex-husband for his job. People here in Grand Rapids are not even truthful about drinking alcohol, they drink trust me but will never admit it and judge you pretty harshly when they see you buying it… it’s an odd little place that is still behind the times. When my son was in pre-school none of the mom’s would talk with me because I was: 1. not from Grand Rapids, 2. Lutheran (no joke), 3. getting a divorce 4. I only have one child. This honestly came up a couple of times, never saw that one coming…
How do you parlay my background to helping people want to list their home with me and or buy a home? I think if I was a counselor, my history would be great, but for Real Estate, do I just omit this and tell about how I have moved several times all over and know how to list and buy a home?
Thanks for the help-Melissa

Hi @melissa-homewood! First off, thank you for sharing that information with us, I know that is not easy!!
GREAT question!
@halle-eavelyn, would you mind providing your thoughts on the above, for Melissa?
In my opinion, what you wrote above immediately grabbed my attention. I was dying to hear more about how that shaped you into the woman you are today and how it paved the path to where you are NOW.
Let’s see what Halle says – in the meantime, start by taking some massive imperfeCT action and start writing down parts of your story to get the ball rolling.
You got this and you have a story that deserves to be shared – I know it can truly help someone 🙂
Proud of you!!

Can someone review what we input into the hero accelerator? I feel like I’m way off base.
Thanks, Tom

Hi @tom-rasmussen! Absolutely.
Few things:
- do you best to answer the questions in the accelerator and then, combine it into a cohesive story.
- I want you to see the case study Halle did for Glo Reber in the Hero Story forum and review all the other feedback that Halle has provided. Those are going to be the most beneficial for you. This will really help you when it comes to gathering your thoughts and finding out how to find your hero story.
- If you’re still stuck, the Transformational Business Strategy module has videos made to assist you if you are stuck.
Hope this helps!

@halle-eavelyn @negeen-dargahi
I included my hero accelerator. Could one or both of you look at it? Let me know if I’m on tract or not????

Hi @tom-rasmussen, if you’ve combined the components of your Hero Story into a cohesive story, you’re ready for the next steps.
Because Halle only reviews your hero story once, please make sure it is fully ready to go.
If so, please email it as an attachment to Halle:
