I’m putting in the time but I wondering if I’m getting where I’m suppose to be.
Here is the process for connections I have been using. I use sales nav to produce a targeted search. I usually try to get it to be about 500 plus or minus. Then I write a quick personal connect request to 50 of those. I try to do 50 a day. I had heard that was about the right number before linkedin might raise an eyebrow.
Of those 50 requests I generally get about 10 connection responses to which I start the question process.
Is that sound about right? Should I be doing more than 50 a day? Should my response rate be higher for a targeted search?
I see many with thousands of connections and at the rate above it would take months even a year or more to get that many.
@steve-devoe Hi! I would stop spending the time to write those personal notes when asking for a connection. It is my experience as well as the HECP’s recommendation that you will have better response simply clicking “connect” without personalizing it. This will cut down on your time considerably and I believe it will result in a higher connect rate for you. Hope this helps!
Hi @steve-devoe! I 100% agree with @laura-barker – it truly does make a huge difference when you don’t customize your connect response.
Test that out for 2 weeks and see if you notice any changes.
I do feel you are on the right path, though!! 🙂
