I just watched Matt’s training on Sales Navigator- helpful but it brought up so many questions for me.
I work in an area where many of the homes are second homes and my Avatar is the second homeowner who is ready to move up (or down) in the marketplace. My first question is how do I connect on LinkedIn to those people? How do I find them? I know some basic demographics from either in town or out of state owner profiles but this seems like finding the needle in a haystack. Since we are a very small resort market, many of the realtors in this market ( do a lot of referral and repeat business (as do I) but the reason I joined this program is to be able to find sellers through LinkedIn. Help me please? How do I pick the right people, groups etc. without just adding to my connections.
I am planning on upgrading to Sales Navigator but just looking for some ideas on who to connect with without spinning my wheels making connections with people who aren’t owners here or will never be here. Too small a market to target people who already live here though I started this way in my first week and 1/2.

Hi @dede-dickinson, have you been through Module 2 yet? Matt does an extensive walk-through on how to search for your unique client.
I did notice your question in the Live Q&A call so hopefully, we answer that and you will be able to listen to the recording by tomorrow.
In the meantime, you are still able to connect with individuals using your 4 Questions.
I would recommend going into the search and typing in something related to what groups you want to be involved in such as “home owner” and then you can filter based on groups. That is an example but utilize the search tools that best fit your client’s needs.

Yes, I have listened to Matt’s video’s. I think there is one more to listen too but again my target is so narrow I am just trying to figure out how to get to the perfect client quickly versus in a few months!

fine tuning my searches in LinkedIn using sales navigator.
Hi Matt,
I just fine tuned my “investor” search by adding NOT “Realtor” or “Real Estate Agent” the search came up without realtors but it doesn’t allow me to connect with these people? It just allows me to save them. How do I connect with them?
Also, I am trying to think outside the box for potential seller clients to connect with but finding it like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Halle suggested that maybe searching for groups might not be the best way to go to connect with people.
My geographic area is quite small, 50 square miles and there are only 2 large corporations. One is the ski company Vail Resorts and the other Vail Health. If I was to look for connections within those organizations, what are your suggestions on how to go about this?
