@negeen-dargahi I am a new LinkedIn user so don’t have any connections. I am currently searching for people and sending a request to connect. It always asks me if I want to send a message with the request. Should I be saying something at that point? Or do I wait until they accept and then start with the four questions? Thanks for the help!
Hi there, @leah-volkov! Good question – ideally, you do not say anything in that message that pops up. And you are correct, once you have been accepted, you can then send the message (Q1). Here is a fun tip that may also help you find connections:
When you are connecting with, let’s say, your competitors, this is a great opportunity to take advantage of that.
once you are connected to another realtor, click on their profile
– then, click on where you see their connections. For example, it could say “500+ connections”
– click on that
you will then see ALL of their connections
(here is the golden nugget) you can start adding ALL of their connections and start sending them your Q1. Win/win.
@negeen-dargahi Oh man, I have on purpose not been connecting with realtors because it seemed like I should find different connections. Guess I’m thinking about this all wrong. 🙂 Any other advice for things realtors should search for?
Hi @leah-volkov, the tips above should help until you get to Module 2 (Advanced LinkedIn) where Matt Barcus dives in deeper on how to search 🙂
You’re doing great! Keep connecting and sending out your Q1 of your Trojan Horse questions.
