• We CANNOT ask anyone what their CORE business is. That will absolutely end the conversation!
        1. What is your primary objective that you are looking for in managing your utility expense?
        2. How much of your personal time do you REALLY have to work on this objective? How much time to you and your staff want to spend on this item?
        3. Ongoing pricing of electricity and natural gas is based on various commodities (coal, natural gas, solar, wind, weather, etc). what is your risk tolerance?
        4. There are other resources available to you in an effort to reduce and manage your actual consumption. Would you be interested in these opportunities that would result in lower usage which translates into saving money?

Hi @bobby-schiff, based on the teachings of the lesson, you want to ask questions to build rapport. Based on what you are writing, they are very personal questions.

If you don’t feel comfortable asking what their core business is, Kent would recommend asking:

Great to connect [NAME]! What’s your core focus for 2021?

          //

Here are 4 questions you can consider using for your field of work:

          2) Perfect. What’s your main focus this year?

          3) Love that! If I had a few simple strategies that would help you accomplish that, would you like me to share those with you?

          4) Fantastic. What are a few time windows that you have available tomorrow to chat?

          5) 2pm works. What’s your mobile?

            Nageen – good afternoon.

I would like to recommend a private conference (if Ken can be on the call, that would be really helpful).

Our line of work (Energy consulting and management) – is a huge challenge for your program. We cannot approach the customer in the same way that many of your other customers do; we have to get the right person on the phone and need to differentiate ourselves IMMEDIATELY. We cannot ask that person what their goals are because the conversation will end immediately. I also do not feel we can ask the question in one of your forums because it simply will not make any sense and take the whole hour of time up !!

Has anyone taken the time to review my linkedin profile? Any feedback (there has to be; I can’t believe I got it right the first time.

Finally – another individual in my company (his name is Jason Reese) is VERY involved with my effort, and will be updating his linkedin profile as well.

Our biggest fear is that we get everything set up, send out a ton of requests and nothing happens.

PLEASE – we are more than lost and am asking for some “special help.” I know its unusual, but please trust me it may be the only way.

Look forward to hearing back from you very soon.

Hi @bobby-schiff, we’d love to help! The best way to get that one-on-one type of feel and for the full team to assist with this specific question, I would recommend you join the Thursday Live Calls. This is a FANTASTIC place to reach Kent and get help on narrowing down!
