I have hundreds of connections that I know pretty well and the first couple of the 4 realestate questions seem a little odd. Especially since I know where they live and what they are currently doing. Seem more difficult to start a dialogue.
For example, one comes back right after Q1 with – how long have you been working in real estate. I know where they live, do I just jump in to asking for time to meet?
Here are some example thoughts ofr Q1, Q2 and Q3 — THOUGHTS
Q1: (NAME) Thanks for being my connection…
· … what’s your core business?
· … what is keeping you occupied these days
Q2: Good to hear.
· Do you still live in…..?
· If they notice I am in real estate
○ Yeah, I started real estate after I left JDE/Peoplesoft and have done it either full time or in parallel with other positions. Do you still live in ….?
Q3: That’s great! Let’s chat for a few minutes.
Options:
○ I have some questions I would like your opinion on.
○ ?
○ I have a fairly big network that may benefit you.
Hi @dennis-barrett, this is something that has come up for other clients and what Kent recommends is going into:
Q1: “Hi [NAME]! What’s your focus for 2021?”
And then you could respond to their reply and lead right into the call (if they seem like they would be able to be a potential client/referral) or you can use the questions above that you’ve written out.
If you could bring this into the live call tomorrow, this would be good to get Kent’s thoughts on!!
If not, go ahead and split test with those questions and come back in 1-2 weeks to see what your stats are and which prompts are getting the most responses.
Good work 🙂
