In Kent’s video LinkedIn Connection Engagement, my assumption is that when they respond to your after asking them what their core business is, that instead of asking them who their target audience is, I ask them to you live here in the Vail valley? (since this is my trojan horse questions # 2) As a realtor I ultimately trying to find out if they own a home here

Hi @dede-dickinson, yes that is correct! Go ahead and say that and try to get them on the phone with you for you to then qualify them.

Can anyone help me “tweak” my Trojan Horse questions to be most effective? I am connected with a lot of local business people. I know they live in the Vail valley as their profiles tell me that. It seems stupid to ask them if they live here for my second question. Should I ask them how long they have lived here? Or should I ask a different question for my second question. Also, some of them it clearly state what their business is (Headline) so it also seems silly to ask them what their core business is when it clearly states that! IN put please ( I am a realtor in Vail, CO)

Hi @dede-dickinson! Your 4 questions are good but please test them out for 2 weeks, gather the response data, and then bring it to the live call if the responses are low. This will help us have accurate insight.

Ok, I have downloaded the Barker20 and watched both videos. I just don’t feel if someone says in their headline that they live in the Vail valley that that is a good question to ask for my opener. I haven’t had any response for 3 days from any of my openers except 2 past friends.

@dede-dickinson, I would say give it at least 2 weeks of consistent messaging since it’s so hard to tell when some individuals are online and what they are responding to.
Once we see what the consistent drop off point is, then I’d say we revise your questions.

ok, I am adapting some of the messaging to each individual. Halle mentioned to try opening Q1 with “What are your goals for 2021? if I knew what their business was or had already had a conversation with them in the past or personally know them.
