I wanted to take some time and do a check in with everyone. How are you doing? Not just on your projects. How are you being accountable within yourself? I have been a work from home pro for awhile. But I was doing my radio show yesterday and our guest was talking about self-accountability and work routines. I realized that the key to success in any venture is to set up a routine around it.

What is your HECP routine? Do you have one? What other measures for self-accountability do you take throughout the day?

        • Empowered to Do List
        • Journaling
        • Putting meetings on your calendar
        • Showing up on time and prepared for one-on-one calls (Kickstart, Midterm, Graduation)
        • Being fully present in meetings
        • Checking in with others in the Support Forum

Share your best practices (and challenges with) accountability.

Let’s have a good discussion about this.

          @diane-hansen

I’ve been doing all of the above except journaling. I’m feeling some relief from your suggestions in the accountability forum. I’d like to learn more about taking action as you learn.

To take action as you learn, you need to set a learning goal and an action trigger before you start learning.

Example: I’m going to learn about the four questions and then as soon as I learn them I’m going to start reaching out to 20 clients a day.

You can do this with anything.

Here’s my personal example from today.

Learning Goal: Get customer success certified.

Action Trigger: Upon completion of the course, send it to my client so I can maintain my top rate with the firm. Use material daily when working with clients.

              Here’s another:

Learning Goal: Certified Problem and Change Manager certification.

Action Trigger: Post daily about what I’m learning on Facebook to attract change clients. Upon completion, post certification on LinkedIn Profile, update resume, and update new client presentations, boilerplates and speaker introductions. Use material daily when working with clients.

If you are learning something, there needs to be an action oriented why behind it. I have cleared libaries of books OFF my clients’ to do lists because there was no connection to action or alignment with their current goals.

              Give it a shot.

              1. Write down everything you are learning right now, making HECP the priority.
              2. Align your learning with action you can take THIS WEEK.
              3. Report that action here.
              4. Report what you REMOVED from your learning loop to give you time and energy to learn what matters!

I love this.  I had an exceedingly busy week this past week and didn’t do all that I needed to do wrt HECP.  I’ve reorganized and “chuncked” down the steps i will take and put them on my calendar.  I got clear about some decisions and making sure I take time for self care. I’m feeling a little more spacious and getting more done.

I client contact me – I didn’t even get a chance to ask my first question. This is awesome stuff!

“Good Morning I am looking at purchasing a unique property in Goderich but I am from the Toronto area and therefore so are my brokers. Have a couple of A lenders interested but they want high down payments so I’m wondering if you have some Bs that might be willing to look at it. Please let me know, James”

03-02-21 so far I am struggling with how long I will work with my current avatar. Initial doubts about whether my perfect client does linked in have been reinforced by my results with the Barker 20. Over the past few weeks I have made consistent efforts at connecting. When requests are sent to non-retired persons on average I get a 1 out of 5 or 6 acceptance. When I sent requests for connection to retired people over 4 or 5 consecutive days my acceptance ratio was 1 out of 100. Although that one connection could very well turn out well based on our initial conversation over the phone. I remain committed to the original avatar but I need some help in directing my approach.

03-02-21 so far I am struggling with how long I will work with my current avatar. This is a great question. If you’d like to talk through things with the team, I’d suggest you bring this question to our Thursday Group call (or post your question on the Thursday call thread and come back to listen to the answer later).

In between that my thoughts are that your numbers for response is pretty good for Non retired people.  One of the reasons that you aren’t seeing a lot of response from retired folks, is well, that they are retired and probably spending very limited time on LinkedIn.

I think of LinkedIn like the biggest networking group in the US, just held online instead of in person. about 60% of all working people are on the site (in the US) and most of the rest of the users are looking for jobs.

I’m not sure what your Avatar is, but I can say that if you are targeting retired people, that perhaps you focus on their sphere of influence (basically the people who they already like, know, and trust) as referral partners and reach out to them.

I hope that you’ll take this up with Kent and Matt  and Halle on one of our upcoming Thursday calls.

                          Good luck!

Its interesting I posted to this accountabilty section 11 days ago. No response as yet.  anyway I just read Diane’s list of self accountability. Interesting list.

What is your HECP routine? Do you have one? What other measures for self-accountability do you take throughout the day?

                          • Empowered to Do List – not sure what this mean
                          • Journaling- Not doing this either
                          • Putting meetings on your calendar- done
                          • Showing up on time and prepared for one-on-one calls (Kickstart, Midterm, Graduation) I showed up to kickstart and assume midterm and graduation are in the future.
                          • Being fully present in meetings

                                  Hey, @larry-clarke

The forums aren’t really for discussion so much as getting specific feedback and questions answered.

You’re right, we don’t respond in here unless we are tagged – only because it’s so easy to miss things this way.  AND you want to start a whole new topic when you post something new, though I can see here that you were commenting on @diane-hansen‘s original post.

Thanks for flagging this for us and we will make sure to respond moving forward!

Meanwhile… the basic outline Diane suggested above is a great one! It reminds you to pay attention and start to be more consistent so you can have better results.

The Empowered To Do List is an important tool I share in the Networking Master Class.  The Master Classes are all on the bottom right module of your main client dashboard, which is called: Mindset, Master Class, and Realtor Fast Track Call Recordings.  Just click on the Master Classes tab at the top above the video window, and then look on the right side of the video screen for the alphabetical index of Master Classes.

Hi @Larry-Clarke  @DianeDyeHanson is still very much a part of the team.

You’ll have up to 3 private sessions with Diane (your Kickstart, a Mid-term coaching call when you have completed all the work through the end of Module 4 and then a Graduation call after you have completed everything (lessons and the work) up through Module 7). In between those calls it is normal for you to lean into the rest of the experts from our amazing HECP team through our Live Support Calls or via the Support Forum for support.

Halle. I entered the program Feburary 2021. I employed massive imperfect action from the beginning. Despite and meaningful success related to my efforts I motivate myself by setting a goal of a vacation as a reward for my efforts.  I booked and took my wife for a beautiful week long trip to Kauai, HI.

Upon returning I seem to have ” fallen off the wagon and have done little except continuing to connect with people on linked in. Compared to my previous level I would describe my efforts now as minimal imperfect action. I also have never returned to the modules.

Any suggestions on how to get back on track and produce positive results.

Everyone. After my first review of this the Woofu.com section I came to the conclusion that there was no benefit to my business using this software.  At Diane’s suggestion, I again reviewed the section, attempted to create a form but frankly consider the exercise as waste of time at this point. Sorry to be so negative. I have tried unsuccessfully to find sections in the forum that can assist me in understanding the benefit or samples of success from other realtors. I am moving forward with other massive imperfect action at this point unles you have other suggestions.
