I now see where to put my Hero story.  My concern is when I listen to the other’s story it is how much money they are now making.  Mine is mostly What I learned along the way and why I do what I do today.  Is that going to be a problem?  Of course, I want to get Associates and tell them about the opportunity but from the place of making a difference while making a living.

Hi @gae-callaway! YES, you can absolutely write about your journey and how you got to where you are now. In the “Hero Story” forum topic, I recommend you read up on what other members in the program wrote and also look at the feedback that Halle provided. It will be very helpful.

Hope this answers your question 🙂

Gae Callaway   This is what I learned along the way from life and from my Clients which really explains what and why of what I do today!

There was once a young couple that moved 3000 miles from home to California.  Two folks and then there were three.  Then a new job, new home, new car, new neighbors to know.   An old friend from home comes by one day with a motorcycle wanting the husband to take a ride.  They are in the front yard when they hear a loud crash.  The young husband has been hit by a drunk driver.   Not moving, he almost lost his life.  Many surgeries, body casts,  it would be 4 years before he would work again.  What I learned, if he had not lived how important would life insurance have been for this young family with a new home & new car?  What about disability insurance?  Believe it or not that 26 years old had disability insurance that paid just about what his paycheck after taxes was for all that 4 years.  It would also have been a great benefit if he had help with the legal issues. (LegalShield) If he had not lived the will would have been very necessary because of the 3 years old child.

Other things I learned,  my Father ran a large farm.   He had a massive heart attack at 46 and died at 52.  Home care and long-term care are so important as I watched my Mom take care of a totally disabled man.  I learned women need to know about finances and how to take care of themselves.  My Mother ran that farm and managed an orphanage learning how to handle finances.  She lived to be 98 years old.  I learned how important it is to know you won’t outlive your money and then be sure at your estate is in order for those you love.

I am an insurance broker and LegalShield Associate and now I hope you understand what I do and just why I do it and want to continue to make a difference in people’s lives.

Hi @gae-callaway, I’d like you to read the examples in the Hero Story module and forum. Remember, you are sharing a story and what you have currently seemed like the fast-forwarded version.

Did you get a chance to look at Glo Reber’s Hero Story that Halle provided feedback on??

@halle-eavelyn, can you help out Gae with this?
