September 17, 2018 at 2:44 am #22852I hired a book consultant/sales person to send out messages on LinkedIn and schedule appointments. I want to know how I write her profile to keep it personal, yet give her my credentials, so people will want to book an appointment. Until she’s fully trained I’ll do the sales calls. She has no background in business or publishing books.Halle responded to my question in the accountability journal, but that answer is not helpful (see below).I do not want her to send messages pretending to be me. That is deceiving. Personally I want to know who I’m communicating with and I think others too.Yes, I do want to delegate. I’ve done lots of messaging via LinkedIn and a bunch of calls. Eventually, she’ll also be doing the calls, but for now I’ll have her start booking appointments. This was Halle’s answer:“What is best I THINK based on what you are asking is to have them reply AS YOU, from your own profile, and set up the appointment. Then you take the call.If you decide you want to gatekeep further, when you get to Q4 and they give you their mobile number, just say something like, “great! My assistant, Jane, will be calling you then to schedule an appointment so we can make sure to make the best use of our valuable time together.”Then your assistant can just speak with them for 2-3 min and do some qualifying questions. PLEASE start with the first method so you can know what exactly to do on the calls and how you want to handle them. Then decide if you want to delegate.”@anthony-simonie

@shamayah-neveling, no one is trying to deceive anyone. It’s just a matter of your time. If you do the 4 questions the way we suggest, it’s really just cut and paste. So does it matter to your relationship with that person if YOU cut and paste or your paid assistant does? You’re still going to get on the call with them. My suggestion was based on what I understood your question to be, and maybe I didn’t get that right (it was a little confusing).
However, if you use her profile, you let people build a relationship with your assistant on LinkedIn; it’s HER connections with them, not yours. Which means that when you stop working with her, you literally lose all those contacts – and the way LI works, there’s no way to transfer them to you. There are several other reasons why this makes sense, and we have already been through this with other clients, AND I’ve been through this myself as I was once a client in the program.
In other words, we’ve already done it every which way, and made all the mistakes, and I was trying to save you the trouble. Of course, it’s up to you how you want to handle it.
If you’re still struggling with the integrity part, just jump onto one of the Q&A calls and Kent or Anthony or one of the mindset coaches can help you with this further.
Hope this clarifying answer is more helpful to you!

I see your point, that if she builds connections and then leaves, it wouldn’t help me.
But there is a better way around than pretending she’s someone she’s not.
She can’t transfer connection, but she can simply connect the good connections with me, which will happen anyway if the person is interested in learning more.
I am not struggling with the integrity part. It is very clear to me that that it’s deceiving. If I don’t want someone to do it to me, I will not do it.
