Here’s a question for Negeen. Lindsey did a great job on my LinkedIn Banner.

How do I remove the blank spot where my picture used to be? Thanks!!

          Hi @peter-neufeldt!

          Great to hear!

Below are the steps to upload your background photo to LinkedIn – the blank spot should go away once it’s correctly uploaded.

          Step 1: Log into LinkedIn.
Step 2: Navigate to your profile.
Step 3: Click edit. (pencil icon)
Step 4: Click the edit background option.
Step 5: Choose a background provided by LinkedIn or upload your own. NOTE: Use a JPG, PNG, or GIF under 4MB in size. …
          Step 6: Hit save.

            Thanks for your instructions.

The background, as created by Lindsey is there.  However, I can’t get rid of the circle where the picture used to be.

PLEASE take a look to understand what I am describing. I have tried everything and nothing works to get rid of the circle.

            Thanks for your help!

Hi @peter-neufeldt! Oh I totally understand now.

              First off, great background photo!

So, where the gray box is, you are required to have a photo there. There’s no way you can remove that. That’s your ACTUAL profile photo of your face AKA this is what people in LI see. The picture of you in your background photo does not replace your profile photo.

              Does that make sense??

Let me know if there’s still confusion!
